A spreadsheet can be a reasonable starting point when the business is small and the records are simple. It offers flexibility, but the coach must design the system, update formulas, and keep separate tools synchronized.
As a coaching business grows, the same student can have contact information, private notes, an active package, upcoming lessons, completed lessons, several payments, and an open balance. izow connects those records instead of asking the coach to reconcile them manually.
A spreadsheet stores rows and formulas. izow provides coaching-specific workflows for adding packages, completing lessons, recording payments, reviewing balances, and understanding income. The tradeoff is that izow is intentionally structured rather than endlessly customizable.
izow includes coach-owned public availability and booking requests. Clients can view available times and submit a request without creating an account, but every request requires coach approval. izow does not provide a public marketplace, uncontrolled instant booking, automated client messaging, Google or Apple Calendar synchronization, accounting advice, or tax preparation.

Yes. Export the contacts as a CSV file and use izow’s universal importer. Map source columns, review valid and invalid rows, and import supported names, email addresses, phone numbers, and contact details. Packages, balances, notes, and historical appointments may still need to be entered separately. Free accounts remain subject to the three-active-client limit.
Pro includes CSV exports for income, expenses, and tax summaries. Bulk student and lesson exports are not currently available.
