Izow, LLC ("izow," "we," "us," or "our") provides business-management software for independent coaches. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use izow's websites, applications, and related services (the "Service").

Payment Information

We receive information related to payments and connected accounts, including Stripe account identifiers, payment status, transaction amounts, dates, and transaction references. izow does not receive or store complete credit card numbers or bank account numbers.

Communications

Technical Information

We and our service providers automatically collect technical information such as:

  • Device and browser information
  • IP address
  • Session information
  • Diagnostic logs

How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
  • Authenticate users and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
  • Process subscriptions and facilitate payment features through Stripe.
  • Send account, billing, security, product, and service-related communications.
  • Respond to customer support requests.
  • Comply with applicable laws, enforce our Terms, and protect izow, our users, and others.

Student Information and Coach Responsibilities

Coaches control the student information they enter into izow. With respect to that information, izow acts as a service provider and processes student information on the coach's behalf in order to provide the Service.

Coaches are responsible for ensuring they have an appropriate legal basis for collecting and using student information, providing any required privacy notices, and obtaining any necessary consent, including when working with minor students.

Coaches should enter only information reasonably necessary to manage their coaching business. izow should not be used to store medical records, government-issued identification numbers, financial account credentials, or other highly sensitive personal information.

How We Share Information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party providers that help operate the Service, including, for example:

  • Supabase (authentication and database services)
  • Vercel (application hosting and content delivery)
  • Stripe (payment processing and connected accounts)
  • Other vendors that help us securely operate and improve the Service

Legal and Safety

When reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our agreements, investigate misuse, or protect the rights, safety, and security of izow, our users, or others.

Business Transactions

If izow is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, bankruptcy, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.

At Your Direction

When you request or authorize us to share information.

izow does not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Payment Processing

Payment processing and connected-account onboarding are provided by Stripe under Stripe's own terms and privacy policy. izow receives only the information necessary to operate payment features and does not receive or store complete payment card or bank account numbers.

Cookies and Analytics

We and our service providers may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, improve performance, analyze usage, maintain security, and enhance the Service. You can control certain cookie settings through your browser, although disabling cookies may affect how the Service functions.

Data Retention

We retain information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

If you request deletion of your account or personal information, we will delete or anonymize information as required by applicable law unless we are required or permitted to retain certain information for legal, regulatory, accounting, or legitimate business purposes.

Some information may remain in secure backups or transaction logs for a limited period after deletion.

Coaches are responsible for managing the retention of student information stored within their accounts.

Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and promptly notifying us of any suspected unauthorized access to your account.

Your Privacy Rights

You may review and update certain information through the Service.

You may also request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information by contacting us at support@izow.app. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable law. Virginia residents may also have the right to appeal a decision regarding a privacy request.

International Users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from another country, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Children's Privacy

izow is a business tool intended for adults and is not directed to children under the age of 13.

Children may not create izow accounts.

If a coach enters information about a minor student, the coach is responsible for obtaining any consent required from a parent or guardian before using the Service.

If you believe a child has submitted information directly to izow without authorization, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the Service evolves.

If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice where appropriate. The updated Privacy Policy will always include a revised Effective Date.
