Who is izow designed for?
izow is designed for independent coaches and instructors who manage individual students, private lessons, lesson packages, scheduling, payments, and business records.
Is the Free plan really free?
Yes. The Free plan supports up to 3 active students and includes student management, lesson packages, scheduling, notes, manual payment records, and income tracking.
Do I need a credit card to create a Free account?
No. You can create a Free account without entering a credit card.
What happens when I reach 3 active students?
Your existing information stays in your account. You will need Pro before adding another active student. Pro supports unlimited active students.
Does izow work on phones and computers?
Yes. You can use the same izow account from supported phone and desktop web browsers.
Is there an iPhone app?
Yes. izow is available as a native iPhone app and through supported phone and desktop web browsers.
Using izow
Students, lessons, records, and security.
How do lesson packages and credits work?
Create a lesson package for a student, record the number of lessons purchased, and mark lessons complete as they happen. izow keeps the remaining credits, completed lesson history, package value, payments, and open balance connected.
Does izow replace my regular calendar?
No. izow provides internal lesson scheduling for managing your coaching records. It does not currently offer student self-booking, automated reminders, or Google and Apple Calendar synchronization.
Can I import my existing students?
izow does not currently provide bulk student importing. Existing students can be added individually so their contact details, packages, notes, and balances begin with accurate records.
Can I export my records?
Pro includes CSV exports for income, expenses, and tax summaries. Student and lesson records do not currently have a bulk export tool.
How is student information protected?
izow uses service providers including Supabase for authentication and database services. Access is tied to your account, and reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards are used. No electronic system can guarantee absolute security, so coaches should also protect their passwords and devices.
Can I cancel Pro anytime?
Yes. You can cancel a paid subscription anytime. Pro access continues through the end of the current paid billing period.
Payments and Stripe
Getting paid and keeping balances accurate.
izow connects payment records to students, lesson packages, open balances, and business income.
Can students or parents pay online?
Yes. Pro coaches can connect their own Stripe account and create a secure payment link for an open lesson-package balance. Eligible Stripe Checkout options can include cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, Cash App Pay, and Klarna.
Who receives the payment?
The coach receives the payment through the coach's connected Stripe account. The coach remains the seller and service provider for the coaching service.
Does izow take a percentage of lesson payments?
No. izow does not currently take a commission from lesson payments. Stripe may charge its standard payment-processing fees.
Does izow hold funds or approve payouts?
No. Stripe manages payment processing and payouts through the coach's connected Stripe account. izow does not currently hold coach funds or manually approve payouts.
Can I record cash, check, Venmo, or Zelle payments?
Yes. You can record payments collected outside Stripe so package balances, payment history, and income records stay organized.
Does izow store full card numbers?
No. Students and parents pay through Stripe's secure payment page. Stripe processes the card details while izow records the confirmed payment information.
What happens after a Stripe payment?
After Stripe confirms a payment, izow records it against the correct student and lesson package, updates payment history and the remaining balance, and includes it in income records.
